Hyland Solutions

Hyland Solutions was looking to enter the space for diversity consultation and conflict resolution. They needed a personalized website to promote their process, and a contact form that made it easy for clients to reach out and start their transformative work together.

GOALS

  • Design a website that had a mix of personal aesthetic while being business-forward.

  • Ensure that the client’s services were easy to find and easier to understand.

  • Make contacting the client easily accessible at every step of exploration.

My Role

As the Web Designer, I developed and built the business website through WordPress. I worked 1-on-1 with the client to set up a color palette, build out page templates, design the contact form, and test for accessibility and mobile responsiveness.

information architecture

To start off this project, I did some research on similar consulting and conflict management firms, more specifically small businesses. I then generated an information architeture that would support these services, information about the client’s journey, and supply an easy way for potential clients to get in contact.

As part of the information architecture, I left notes about ideas for potential content and how different pages would reference one another.

After realizing we should split out the “Services” section into their own pages— since the services would stay fairly static and it saved users a click to get to the information they cared about most— we worked on designing the content pages.

The “About” page went through the most iteration, including adding a new section for News & Publications, removing Foundational Concepts, and adding Representative Works.

Web Design

This website project was a simple build, but had a lot of complexity around content, and ensuring that the workflow for reaching out for an initial consultation was clear. Services were clearly defined through their service detail pages, and contact forms were embedded throughout the site.

Mobile responsiveness and acccessibility were critical to ensuring Hyland Solutions could reach potential clientele across devices. Multiple rounds of designs and testing were done to prioritize accessing information and contact methods with ease.
